Hamta Pass sits at an altitude of 4270 m (14039 ft) on the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Lahaul's Chandra Valley and the Kullu. This is a raw video of our trek to Hampta and thrills encountered on the way. The trekkers’ skills and stamina are tested most during river crossings, because the ice-cold water and uneven rocks below needed careful navigation. The igloo stay in Manali has become a new attraction for tourists visiting Himachal Pradesh. Over the years Igloos have been often associated with Eskimos, they were traditionally used by the people of Canada's Central Arctic, Norway, and Greenland. As the temperature in Hampta Pass in Manali, Himachal Pradesh is below freezing point, people from across the country have been coming here to experience igloos which is built with snow. At night usually, the temperature drops down to -10 degrees celsius. In this video, we showcase how igloos are made.
